AMEN to this. This reminds me of Priebus’ initiative to spend $10 million on outreach to minorities. That bothered the living hell out of me because I got the distinct impression that they’re not doing this because they actually care, but because they need their shoes spit-shined and waxed. They need votes in 2014 and 2016. This notion that they can give something to the so-called “takers” in order to win laughs in the face of everything they say to the public that they believe in.

I’m not a democrat, but of the two parties, the dems win every time, partly because they’re nothing like repubs, and partly because I believe in progress.
